# Create forecast receipt

> Automatically attempted when a signed-in user's forecast completes or a guest forecast is saved. This explicit operation stamps older forecasts or retries an unavailable receipt. Sends only a salted SHA3-256 content ID to vBase; no CSV or forecast contents are uploaded. A fenced lease and lookup-before-create prevent duplicate stamps after ambiguous network failures. The receipt records the actual stamp time, including for historical replays. No forecast is backdated. Guests cannot stamp. The caller needs forecasts:write and forecast.create permission for this resource. Completed receipts cause no further database writes.
